Is He Husband Material?
Men ask whether a woman is wife material. Is he husband material? Answer from what you have seen him do, and see what he is already showing you and what to raise with him.
Think of one man you are dating or talking to. Answer from what he has done more than once. Promises do not count yet.
What he is already showing you
What to raise with him
Please read this first
You said you do not always feel safe with him. That matters more than every other answer here, and it is not something a quiz, or you managing him better, can fix.
If you are in immediate danger, call 112 (Nigeria's national emergency number) or your local emergency services.
For confidential support in Nigeria, you can reach the Women at Risk International Foundation (WARIF), the Mirabel Centre (Lagos), or the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA). In the diaspora, contact your local domestic-abuse helpline. Please talk to someone you trust.
A safety-first note
If a man controls where you go, who you see or your money, checks your phone, threatens you, or hurts you physically or sexually, that is abuse, and it is not your fault. If you are in immediate danger, call 112. For confidential help in Nigeria, reach out to WARIF, the Mirabel Centre, or the Lagos State DSVA; in the diaspora, your local domestic-abuse helpline.
How the Is He Husband Material? quiz works
You think of one man and answer ten questions about what he does: whether his word matches his actions, how he behaves when you disagree, how he handles money, and whether he has said when he wants to marry. Each answer scores two for yes every time, one for sometimes and nothing for not yet. A last question asks whether you feel safe with him, and that one outweighs the rest.
- Answer from what he has done more than once. Promises do not count yet.
- Tap See my result to see what he is showing you and what to raise with him.
- Pick one thing from the "raise with him" list and bring it up this week.
- Send it to your friends. They can check their own man and compare.
What your result means
Sixteen points or more means he is showing husband material: consistent, respectful and serious about a future with you. Ten to fifteen means promising, with real questions you have not settled yet. Under ten means not husband material yet. Whatever the score, the list of things to raise with him is the most useful part, because how he responds tells you more than the quiz can.
If you said you do not always feel safe with him, the quiz shows a safety note instead of a score, and it never offers a share button. To see what consistency and care look like in practice, read green flags that matter, and for the warning signs, red flags in a man.
