Wholesome Girlies vs Period Calendar
Last updated: October 2026
Which tools help you find your fertile window?
Use Period Calendar if you want reminders, daily logs of symptoms and moods, and records of basal body temperature (BBT), cervical mucus and tests. Use Wholesome Girlies for period and ovulation tools that need no account, show no ads and keep your dates only on your phone, with a plan and clinic questions beside them. We do not claim our calculator predicts better. It adds your cycle length to your last period and counts back 14 days, and this page shows the sum.
We make Wholesome Girlies. Every claim about it comes from our own tools and prices, and every claim about another app comes from that app's own pages and its Nigerian store listing.

How the Wholesome Girlies calculator works
The Ovulation and Fertile Window Calculator uses two numbers: the first day of your last period and your usual cycle length. It adds the cycle length to that date to find your next period, then counts back 14 days to estimate the day you ovulate. The fertile window it shows starts five days before that day and ends one day after it.
On a 28-day cycle, day 1 is the first day of your period. Your next period is due on day 29, ovulation is estimated on day 15, and the window runs from day 10 to day 16. The Period Tracker then replaces the cycle length you typed with your own average once you have logged three period starts.
A calendar estimates and does not detect. A Journal of Medical Internet Research analysis of 7,043 tracked cycles found that ovulation does not sit reliably at the midpoint of a cycle, and the National Health Service says it usually happens 10 to 16 days before your next period. Period Calendar's temperature, mucus and test records add signals ours does not use, so we do not claim ours predicts better.
