The Wait Check-in

Trying to conceive can be one of the loneliest, heaviest things to carry, and nobody asks how you are doing. This is a quiet, private space to notice, just for you. It is not a test and there is no score. It never tells you what is wrong with you. It just helps you notice, and always points you to real help.

Sit with these gently. There are no right answers.

  • Am I able to feel small moments of joy or peace?
  • Am I sleeping, or lying awake worrying about trying?
  • Do I still feel close to my partner, or has trying pushed us apart?
  • Can I be around pregnancy news without it breaking me?
  • Are the heavy feelings slowly easing, or getting heavier?

Whatever you wrote, please read this

This is not a test, and there is no score. But if a few of these feel true for you, or one of them feels heavy, or the hard feelings have lasted, take that as your gentle sign to reach out. That is strength, not failure.

Talk to your doctor or a counsellor. In Nigeria you can call the Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative on 0809 111 6264. If you have known pregnancy loss, please be gentle with your grief and reach for real support, you do not have to carry it alone. You matter, whatever this journey holds.

Educational, not medical advice. This is a private reflection space, not a diagnosis or a mental-health assessment. It never replaces a doctor or a mental-health professional. What you write is saved only on your own device.
