Educational, not medical advice. A general guide to starting solids, not personal advice. Ask your health worker about timing, allergies, and your baby's needs. Never leave a baby alone while eating. It saves only on your own device.

    When to see a doctor

Trust your instincts. Get medical help now for trouble breathing, a fit (seizure), a high fever in a young baby, a rash that does not fade when pressed, a baby who is very floppy or very hard to wake, choking, or if your gut says something is seriously wrong. This tool is not a substitute for an infant first-aid course or your doctor.
